The faceting in the glass insert (hovering between purple and maroon) is nothing short of spectacular. It catches light from every direction and reflects it back--helped in part by the silver/gold coating on the back of the facets. The intricate wire work surrounding the "gems" simply adds to their beauty. Spectacular.
