We are the grateful recipients of some original Navajo jewelry, most vintage and possibly antique. These pieces are quite valuable, not only for their exquisite workmanship, but also because they are limited in quantity and highly sought after.
This is a bangle bracelet (bearing stamp of the maker) from the Fred Harvey Trading Company. This bracelet was constructed prior to the use of the 925 mark but the stamp of the maker and "sterling" is quite visible in the last photo.
Regardless of which it is, there was no skimping on the silver in this bracelet. The band is thick silver (see last photo) and it is adorned with not only a lovely cabochon of turquoise but also with artistic tribal engraving and "bullets" of even more silver. The bangle has a gap of 1 1/8" and a width of 2.5". It is slightly flexible--enough so that it should easily fit size 7-8 wrist size.
My price for this is higher than most, but if you run a search for this company's Navajo-style bracelets, you will find that it is quite in line, if not less expensive than most.
